Article 1 — Scope
These terms and conditions of sale apply to all orders placed with Éditions Cassini on the website cassini.fr. The applicable terms are those in force at the time the order is placed.
Article 2 — Availability of books
Our books are offered subject to availability. If a book you have ordered turns out to be unavailable, we will inform you by e-mail as soon as possible. If restocking is impossible or would take more than 30 days, the order for that book is cancelled and the corresponding amount is refunded to you within 14 days at the latest.
Article 3 — Orders
Orders are placed on the website. Each order is confirmed by an e-mail sent to the address given by the customer. Orders are usually dispatched within two working days of receipt of payment, and in any event delivered within a maximum of 30 days from the date of the order.
Article 4 — Prices
Prices are given in euros, all taxes included, excluding shipping costs. Shipping costs are detailed on the Delivery page and shown in the basket before the order is confirmed.
Books are sold new, in compliance with French law on the fixed price of books. Prices may be changed at any time; books are invoiced at the price in force when the order is recorded.
For delivery outside the European Union, customs duties or local taxes may be payable. They are borne by the customer, who is responsible for the corresponding declarations and payments.
All orders are invoiced and payable in euros. The books remain the property of Éditions Cassini until the price has been paid in full.
Article 5 — Payment
Payment is made by bank card (CB, Visa, Mastercard) on the secure payment page of the Systempay platform. Éditions Cassini never sees the card number and does not store it. Authentication by your bank (3-D Secure) may be required.
Article 6 — Delivery
Books are delivered to the address or pick-up point chosen when ordering. Terms and delivery times are given on the Delivery page.
The risk of loss of or damage to the books passes to the customer when the customer, or a third party designated by the customer, takes physical possession of them. If the parcel arrives damaged, please record your reservations with the carrier and let us know as soon as possible.
For deliveries outside mainland France, it is the customer's responsibility to find out about the import formalities applicable in the country of destination.
Article 7 — Right of withdrawal
In accordance with articles L. 221-18 et seq. of the French Consumer Code, you have 14 days from receipt of your order to withdraw, without having to give any reason.
To exercise this right, inform us of your decision before the period expires, using the form below or any other unambiguous statement, by post (Éditions Cassini, 27 rue Gay-Lussac, 75005 Paris, France) or by e-mail (cassini@cassini.fr).
You must then return the books to the same address, no later than 14 days after informing us of your decision. The cost of returning them is borne by you.
We will refund all sums paid, including standard delivery costs, no later than 14 days after the date on which we are informed of your decision; the refund may be deferred until we have received the books or proof that they have been sent. The refund is made using the payment method used for the order.
Books must be returned in good condition. You may be held liable for any loss in value resulting from handling other than what is necessary to establish the nature and characteristics of the book.
